Mission day reflection

Mission day reflection:

We did bomb the Daniels and we believe it went really successful. The way it worked was you throw a ball at a pile of six cans then for every 2 cans you knock down you get 1 water bomb. With that water bomb you can either throw it at Daniel or Daniel. Everyone that came really enjoyed it and had heaps of fun. We could of improved by having more materials and being more prepared for the amount of people that came to the stall. My role in the stall was getting water bombs thrown at my face and being soaked in water. I learnt to be more prepared and to calculate accurate prices. I worked with Angus, Lincoln and Daniel. The reason we did mission day was to help schools in Vietnam. I felt really good in my self because I was able to help people give younger kids an exciting day.

Big idea reflection

Big idea reflection:

I think that my sharing session went well and that the audience gave good feedback. I could of improved on presenting it an a different form. The most interesting thing I learnt as that a Scottish person invented the Australian anthem. We got good scores from the people who came to our presentation and I think we could of used our time a lot better.

This presentation was about Vietnamese refugees
The most interesting part was when Connor showed me an interesting video
Some ideas for next time is make a poster or video
I liked Connors presentation because it was interesting and had really good info

Book review

Book Review:

Eragon is about a boy named Eragon who’s family is really poor and Eragon goes hunting quite often so he can feed his family. Eragon is 16 and one day when he was hunting he was aiming at a deer when lightning struck and he found a stone that changed his life for ever. From that day Eragon was running away from the king and getting stronger every day, learning his own secrets and breaking boundaries.

The things I like most about this book is the amazing story line and the killing suspense. The book is really good and it is definitely the best book I’ve ever read. The author Christopher Paolini was only sixteen when he wrote it and there are another three in the series.

I recommend this book for people any older than 15 because of its gory fight scenes and olden day setting.

Similes and metaphor short writing

I grabbed the popcorn and stuck my hand into it. The warm buttery pieces of popcorn felt like a sea of butter rubbing on my arm. As the buttery popcorn went into my mouth it felt like little clouds rolling around in my mouth. When the lights went on of the movie I looked down at my fingers and all I could see was bits of butter dripping off them.

I flicked the release and the arrow went flying out of my bow. The arrow was only in the air for second but it seemed to take for ever.as the string rubbed against my arm it felt like a feather rubbing down my wrist.

I’m running as fast as a cheetah , I keep running,I jump over a gap and do a full 360′ and feel a strong cold breeze on my face. When I land I hear my friend yell out to me “that was awesome.”

genesis and rainbow serpent

feedback by Indi:

I  think that Daniel wasted his time and could improve on time management he read the stories, genesis and rainbow serpent. he didn’t learn much, one of the things he learnt was that both stories where very alike. Next time he could choose better people too work with and make better learning choices.

The crowed goes wild, flares go of but that’s what happens in Brazil when it’s a two man goal. The police come in and escort the people who set off the flares. Messi and Ronaldo get super pumped when they realize they just won the Brazilian World Cup when it was 2 players against all of Australia and the 2 people won! The round goes wild again every body body goes nuts on the field!
